I am a longtime admirer of Toyota.

I have driven their products for more than two decades. My current vehicle, a 1998 RAV-4, is four-cylinder, manual transmission, fuel-efficient crossover mini-SUV.

What’s more, I’ve had generally excellent service experiences with Toyota. Their authorized service centers routinely meet the highest standards.

Thus it is a surprise and disappointment to find that Toyota is quietly taking refuge in a legal loophole,  offering a lesser, differential warranty for its Prius in many states.
